According to the Flint Police Department, two women allegedly attacked the postal worker in Flint, accosting her outside her mail truck, which was parked between two apartment complexes, WJRT reported.

“We’re still gathering information,” Tyrone Booth, a detective with the Flint Police Department, told The Detroit News. “We can’t share fine details right now.”

Two arrest warrants will be filed with the prosecutor’s office, Flint Chief of Police Terence Green later told MLive.

A bystander captured video of the attack, WJRT reported. It appears that another person stepped in to help the postal worker, who was being held down by two women as they punched her and pulled her hair, the television station reported.

One of the alleged attackers can be heard yelling, “She hit me first” during the video, the News reported. Then the video shows the two women speed away in a vehicle. The man filming the attack provided a look at the damage to the front of the mail truck before the footage ends.

“Oh my God, oh my God,” says a man who appears to be recording the incident. “You all hit the mailman! She hit the mailman! You all fittin’ to go to the feds.”

Another voice can be heard saying, “You all going to jail!”

“You know, you get a video and it’s always helpful but never tells the full story, because you never know when the video camera was turned on, what happened before that, what happened after it was turned off,” Genessee County Prosecutor David Leyton told WJRT. “So there’s still some unanswered questions out there.”

Police declined to share the victim’s age, but said “she’s in good condition. She’s fine.”

It was unclear what caused the attack.

“The safety and well-being of Postal Service employees is a top priority for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service,” U.S. Postal Inspector W.R. Christopher said in a statement. “Postal Inspectors are aware of the incident involving a Postal Service employee. In incidents such as this, we work closely with our law enforcement partners and prosecutors, in this case the Flint Police Department, the Flint County District Attorney’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office, to solve these crimes and determine the best course of action for prosecution.”

Christopher added that the investigation is ongoing, WEYE reported.
