PHOENIX — A teenager is on the run after a deadly shooting earlier in the week in Phoenix, police said.
In a statement on Facebook, the Phoenix Police Department said Sir Amir Williamson, 17, is wanted on suspicion of murder after his cousin, Elijah Johnson, was found dead around 3:30 p.m. Monday in a motel room near Interstate 17 and Dunlap Avenue.
Investigators said Williamson and Johnson, 18, got into an argument. Williamson then allegedly shot and killed Johnson, according to KNXV.
After the shooting, authorities said Williamson took off from the motel. According to KTVK, police found Johnson on the ground injured and rushed him to the hospital. He later died at the hospital.
