HOUSTON — Police in Texas are searching for a person of interest in connection with the death of a Houston toddler last week.
According to KTRK and KRIV, Houston police want to question 19-year-old David Ajanel Ixcayau after Wilson Cosigua, 3, died on New Year’s Eve.
In a Monday news release, Houston police said officers and emergency crews discovered Cosigua unresponsive inside a Ranchester Drive apartment Thursday. First responders rushed the child to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, according to the release.
“Further investigation led to the identification of Ixcayau as a person of interest in this incident,” the release said, adding that anyone with information should call police at 713-308-3600 or leave a tip by calling 713-222-TIPS.
