MCKEESPORT, Pa. — The daughter of former New York Giants and Carolina Panthers linebacker Brandon Short died Monday after being shot in Pennsylvania, according to WPXI.
Authorities found Karli Short, 26, dead of an apparent gunshot wound to the head around 10:30 a.m. Monday, the news station reported. She was found lying on the road in the 300 block of 25th Street, according to WPXI.
Her father, who was drafted by the New York Giants in 2000 and played a total of five seasons with the team, told WPXI that he was “heartbroken” and “angry” by his daughter’s death, adding that being Karli Short’s father was his greatest achievement.
