Pitbull is used to playing to a crowd. On Wednesday night, the rapper played bartender to an appreciative audience at the grand opening of a South Florida restaurant.
The Miami native, 41, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, stopped by the opening of the newest Sugar Factory restaurant inside Aventura Mall on Wednesday, the Miami Herald reported. Pitbull wore a royal blue jacket and baseball cap as he mixed up drinks at the bar, according to the newspaper.
“What a thing to be here. What a blessing,” Pitbull told reporters. “And to represent Dade County, who would ever have thought? Dale!”
Natalie Ramos of Sugar Factory told WSVN-TV that she was “super excited” about the grand opening and its special guest.
“We usually have our Sugar Factories in locations that are where it’s mostly like spring break, but the Aventura Mall is so upscale,” Ramos said. “It’s beautiful, it’s a different kind of clientele.”
Pitbull, who is a partner and investor in the restaurant, mixed up Fuzzy Peach Penguin Mango and Watermelon Patch Goblets that were spiked with his Voli Vodka product, the Herald reported.
“Any time you come here, it’s all about family, it’s all about having a good time, and more than that, it’s all about having fun,” Pitbull told reporters. “So to be able to be a part as a partner, as an investor in the Sugar Factory, and continue to see it grow, is truly an honor and blessing.”
