The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced the recall of more than 143,000 Mercedes vehicles because of an issue with the vehicles’ fuel pumps.
The NHTSA said the fuel pump may shut down and cause a loss of power.

The NHTSA said that dealerships will replace the fuel pumps for free and owners will be notified by mail on Aug. 25. Owners can also call Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 800-367-6372.
