The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of two Kolcraft bassinets and incline sleeper systems.
The recall comes after other companies recalled their inclined sleepers because there have been cases where infants have rolled to their stomach or sides while using the devices.
The recall involves two models:
- Kolcraft Cuddle 'n Care 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline sleeper, model number starting with KB063
- Kolcraft Preferred Position 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline sleeper, model number starting with KB061
The models can be found on a metal bar between the legs of the bassinets.
Owners are being told to stop using the inclined sleeper accessory, which is the only portion of the system being recalled; the bassinet can be used without the piece, the CPSC said.
If you have the bassinet that is affected by the recall you can contact Kolcraft by phone at 800-453-7673 Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CT, by email at customerservice@kolcraft.com or clicking here.
The company will issue a $35 voucher for its website or a $20 refund.
The bassinet was sold at stores and online from March 2011 through December 2017 for $140.
