In a news release, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration said it was recalling the product because soy and wheat were not labeled on the product.

People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy or wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these Ingredients, the USDA said.

The products were sold in the dairy or produce departments and distributed in Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

There have been no illnesses reported so far, the FDA said.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of soy and wheat allergens. A subsequent investigation revealed that the problem was caused when the back label from another product was mistakenly put on the Caesar salad dressing.

The recalled dressing bears the UPC code 99482-49027 in 12-ounce glass bottles with a best by date of 04/06/2023.

Consumers who have bought this product should throw it away or seek a refund at the point of sale.
