PENSACOLA, Fla. — A Florida man is accused of throwing a woman onto a bed, then smelling her to see whether she had cheated on him, authorities said.
Walter Medina, 34, of Pensacola, was arrested Thursday and charged with two charges of battery and one charge of sexual assault, according to Escambia County online booking records.
According to an arrest report, the victim said Medina confronted her at about 1 p.m. Thursday and accused her of cheating on him, WEAR-TV reported.
After an argument, the victim told police that Medina wanted to verify her alleged infidelity, the television station reported.
The victim claimed Medina threw her onto the bed, removed her pants and underwear and began smelling her private area, WEAR reported.
Medina left the residence, and when he returned later that night, he allegedly struck the victim, according to the police report.
The victim then called police, who then arrested Medina when he attempted to flee the residence, WEAR reported.
Medina is currently being held in the Escambia County Jail without bail. He will appear in court on March 4, according to online booking records.
