EAGLE, Idaho — Authorities in Idaho will resume searching Thursday for a toddler who vanished sometime after noon Wednesday in Eagle, deputies said.

According to KTVB, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office said Rory Pope, 2, hasn’t been seen since 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, when he was in the West Nordic Drive area. The blond-haired boy, who is white, was wearing a green shirt at the time, the department said in a Facebook post.

Pope’s disappearance prompted an extensive search involving sheriff’s deputies, Eagle police and fire crews, among others, KTVB reported.

“Crews have been doing extensive searching all day, including dive teams on several ponds in the neighborhood; police using drones to fly overhead; officers, K9 dogs and others doing comprehensive ground search by foot; and investigators getting Ring camera footage from neighbors,” the Facebook post read.

Dive teams suspended the search overnight and will start looking for Pope again Thursday morning, the Sheriff’s Office said, adding that crews aren’t currently seeking volunteers.

Investigators do not suspect foul play in Pope’s disappearance, deputies said.
