In a statement released Friday, the band asked for privacy for group members and for Cattermole’s family.

“We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul,” the band said in a statement.

“There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us.”

In a statement obtained by The Guardian, Cattermole’s family said he was found Thursday at his home in the English county of Dorset. He was pronounced dead later that day.

“While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances,” family members said in a statement, according to BBC News.

Cattermole died just under a month after celebrating his 46th birthday.

His death comes weeks after S Club 7 announced plans to reunite for a 25th anniversary tour. The group, which disbanded in 2003, also reunited for a tour in 2015.

S Club 7 — which also includes Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara, Hannah Spearritt and Rachel Stevens — saw success after launching in the late 90s with hits including 2000′s “Never Had a Dream Come True.” In 1999, the band appeared in a TV show, titled “S Club 7 in Miami” in the U.S., that was watched by more than 90 million people worldwide.

S Club 7 released four studio albums and sold 10 million records.
