ORANGEVILLE, Ontario — A little piece of TV history can be yours for the bargain asking price of $1.6 million.

The famed Rosebud Motel – minus its iconic sign – from the Emmy-winning “Schitt’s Creek” is officially on the market, multiple media outlets reported Monday.

The sale of the actual Hockley Motel in Orangeville, Ontario, - home to the fictional Rose family for six seasons on the hit Canadian Broadcasting Corp. comedy - comes less than two months after the series’ other primary local was listed for nearly $16 million. The fancier abode, a mansion, was featured as the Roses’ repossessed home in the opening scenes of the first episode, The Guardian reported.

The more modest Hockley Motel – which during its storied history has housed various other productions, including “A History of Violence,” “Umbrella Academy” and “11.23.63” – became the focal point of the series as the “once-rundown motel in the fictional town of Schitt’s Creek where the Rose family (played by Dan Levy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara and Annie Murphy) land after losing their fortune in the Canadian comedy series’ pilot,” People reported.

Specifically, the 6.7-acre property along the Nottawasaga River, including the non-operational hotel owned by Jesse Tipping, has been listed with Robin McLuskie of Colliers for 2 million Canadian dollars, or roughly USD $1.6 million, the outlet reported.

According to Deadline, Tipping, the president of the Athlete Institute Basketball Academy and Orangeville Prep, one of Canada’s most successful basketball prep schools, bought the property for $820,000 in 2011 as a place to house his recruits.

Per its listing, the Hockley Motel features 10 bedrooms with bathrooms; a two-story manager’s quarters; a 700-square-foot detached cottage; and a stable large enough to house three horses or other livestock, People reported.
