The enigmatic, parabolic light seen shooting across the North Carolina sky early Sunday morning might have looked out of this world but likely was very Earthly.
The mysterious light seen around 6 a.m. was likely caused from the launch of a SpaceX rocket sending satellites into space, WRAL reported.
Some of those who saw it thought it was an unidentified flying object, others called it a beautiful meteor.
SpaceX said its Falcon 9 rocket launched at 6:01 a.m. from Kennedy Space Center in Florida carrying 60 Starlink satellites.
