In love, just like in baseball, it ain’t over until it’s over.

The couple released a statement to both media outlets on Saturday morning through their representative clarifying that they remain in a relationship and are “working through some things.”

“They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch. But (they) were not broken up,” People reported, citing an unknown source “close to the pair.”
Lopez, 51, and Rodriguez, 45, have been in a relationship since 2017.
According to multiple media outlets on Friday, the actress and former major league baseball star called off their engagement. The New York Post was the first to report the alleged split.

Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in the Bahamas in March 2019 after dating for two years, E! Online reported. They were last seen on March 1 in the Dominican Republic, where Lopez is shooting a film, People reported.
Talk of a breakup surfaced last month after speculation arose that Rodriguez was having an affair, People reported. Rumors had swirled around “Southern Charm” reality star Madison LeCroy, who was accused of sleeping with a married major league baseball player, the magazine reported.
However, People reported that Rodriguez and LeCroy had “never met.”
“This was not caused by a third party. Madison (LeCroy) or anyone else,” a source told People on Saturday. “They are working through things.”
”She’s working in the Dominican Republic and he’s in Miami so it’s tough seeing each other especially with quarantining and COVID,” another source told the magazine. “But they want to try to stay together.”
If the marriage occurs, it will be the fourth for Lopez, who divorced singer Marc Anthony in 2014, and the second for Rodriguez, who has been divorced since 2008, CNN reported.
