PASCO, Wash. — When a 400-pound playground slide went missing, police had to find out where it went. Imagine when their investigation led to the bedroom of a child.
In mid-December, someone cut the slide from a playground in Burbank, Washington, KEPR reported.
But an investigation into stolen catalytic converters gave officials the break they needed to crack the case of the missing slide, KFFX reported.
Police said they found a potential suspect and got a warrant to search his property. Officers said they found the missing car parts, as well as the slide on Feb. 26.
The missing slide had been installed on a bunk bed inside a child’s room in the mobile home in Pasco, Washington.
