Fans of “Sweet Magnolias” will have their questions answered. Specifically, what happened to the passenger in Kyle’s car accident?

The television series was renewed for a second season, Netflix announced Thursday.

The first season of the dramatic television adaptation of Sheryl Woods’ novels launched in May, Variety reported.

The show is set in the fictional town of Serenity, South Carolina, and focused on best friends Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott) and Helen (Heather Headley), according to The Hollywood Reporter. The trio lean on each other as they face professional and personal obstacles.

The car accident involving Kyle (Logan Allen) served as the cliffhanger for the first season, Variety reported.

“Sweet Magnolias” played to mostly positive reviews in its debut season, Variety reported.

The series joins several other Netflix show renewals, including “Never Have I Ever,” “Lucifer,” “Gentefied,” “After Life” and “#BlackAF,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sheryl J. Anderson (”Ties That Bind”) is the series’ showrunner and executive producer. Dan Paulson (”Chesapeake Shores”) and Woods are also executive producers. The series is a Daniel J. Paulson production.
