T-Mobile says service restored after reports of widespread outages

T-Mobile said early Tuesday that voice and text messaging services have been restored to customers following reports of outages Monday evening.

Update 1:15 a.m. EDT June 16: Neville Ray, T-Mobile’s president of technology, provided an update shortly after 1 a.m. EDT Tuesday.

“Voice and text services are now restored,” he tweeted. “Thank you for your patience as we fixed the issues. We sincerely apologize for any and all inconveniences.”

Original report: T-Mobile customers are reporting problems making and receiving calls across the US Monday evening.

The president of technology at T-Mobile acknowledged the issue on Twitter shortly after problems began.

Users in several states noticed the disruption around 3 p.m. Other customers reported outages on AT&T, and Verizon.

Verizon and AT&T told CNN that outages on their network was likely due to the ongoing issues with T-Mobile’s network.
