MOBILE, Ala. — An Alabama man is accused of trying to steal stadium bleachers, authorities said.
Michael Anthony McClellan, 60, of Mobile, was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft of property in the first degree, according to Mobile County Sheriff’s Office online booking records.
According to the Mobile Police Department, McClellan was pulled over at about 12:22 p.m. CST after an officer saw him dragging a set of stadium bleachers behind his car, WALA-TV reported.

According to investigators, the bleachers were stolen from Lyons Park in Mobile, the television station reported. The stands have been returned to their location.
McClellan has a bail hearing set for Friday, WALA reported.
