BELTON, Texas — A Texas high school student is accused of fatally stabbing another student during a fight in a school bathroom, authorities said.
Caysen Tyler Allison, 18, of Temple, was charged with first-degree felony murder, according to Bell County online booking records. Allison is accused of fatally stabbing Jose Luis “Joe” Ramirez Jr., 18, at Belton High School on Tuesday, KWTX-TV reported.
Ramirez was taken to an area hospital where he died of his injuries, KCEN-TV reported.

Police said Allison was arrested off-campus about 20 minutes after the incident, KXXV-TV reported. Bail was set at $1 million, according to KCEN.
Classes at Belton High School were canceled on Thursday, KXXV reported.
“We have been made aware that the Belton Police Department has charged one of our students with murder. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement and appreciate their professionalism through this process,” the Belton Independent School District said in a statement. “We continue to work with our law enforcement partners as we plan for the safe return of our students and staff. We will share additional information about resources and support for our students and staff later today.
“Our continued thoughts and prayers go out to our entire Big Red Community.”
