A truck driver in Washington state wound up all wet on Wednesday.
According to a Facebook post by the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, a tractor-trailer was traveling down East Main Street in Manchester, located west of Seattle, when it lost its brakes.
The driver, who was hauling a 50,000-pound load, decided that his safest tactic was to aim for the Pomeroy Park Boat Ramp.
The boat went off the ramp and landed in the bay, the sheriff’s office said.
The driver of the truck was able to escape, but the vehicle had to be hauled out of the bay, according to the sheriff’s office.
“At least he kept the tip of the stack above the water,” one person wrote in response to the sheriff’s post.
