Tulsa police: Accused porch pirate wore women’s underwear as mask

TULSA, Okla. — An Oklahoma man accused of porch pirate theft wore women’s underwear as a mask to hide his identity, authorities said.

Spencer Donovan Gougler, of Tulsa, was arrested Friday and charged with five counts of larceny, one count of knowingly concealing stolen property, possession of a firearm after former convictions and grand larceny after former convictions, according to Tulsa County online booking records.

“(A) porch pirate with an unusual and questionably effective mask,” the Tulsa Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.

Police were apprised of a porch pirate theft on Friday and were provided with surveillance images, KOKI-TV reported.

The Flock Safety System allowed police to find the suspect’s vehicle, according to the television station.

According to the Tulsa police Facebook post, an officer recognized the suspect from previous cases, where the man was wearing women’s underwear as a mask.

Gougler was booked into jail late Friday and was released Saturday evening after posting $17,000 bail, online records show.
