DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — An Uber Eats driver in South Florida was wounded Friday night while she attempted to make a delivery, authorities said.
According to a news release from the Delray Beach Police Department, the woman was attempting to make a delivery at about 9:50 p.m. EDT in the city’s Chateau Woods neighborhood when she was shot.
The woman, whose identity was not revealed, was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, WPEC-TV reported.
The motive for the shooting is unknown, police said.
According to a preliminary investigation, two suspects were involved, the news release stated. One adult male was taken into custody and arrested on an unrelated charge, police said.
The second suspect remains at large, WPBF-TV reported.
Police have not identified the two suspects or the driver.
