Video posted by the Los Angeles Police Department on YouTube shows several angles of the stunt. Police said that on March 20, a rental driver of a black 2018 Tesla S-BLM performed the stunt, hitting several trash cans and two parked cars.

After crash-landing, the driver of the car took off in another Tesla. “These kids were just running up and down the hill here. Three Teslas followed, and they basically jumped from one Tesla to another,” Cliff Magreta, a witness who recorded one of the videos, told KTLA.

Hours after posting the video, Los Angeles police said they received tips leading them to a person of interest on TikTok.

Jordan Hook, whose car was one of the vehicles damaged in the stunt told KCBS, “I heard the crash. I felt the crash.” His Subaru was so damaged it could not be driven. “The cringeworthy things that gets your blood boiling isn’t necessarily the car jumping and crashing,” Hook told KCBS. “It’s the attitude of these guys and the fact that they’re so cocky about it. Then they just get up and leave after it’s done.”

Detective Juan Campos of the LAPD told KTLA the jump was a “dangerous stunt. It never should’ve been done. I don’t know what they were thinking about. It could’ve gotten somebody killed.”
