A box truck going south through the Washington Park Arboretum hit a pedestrian bridge Wednesday afternoon. The bridge did not have serious damage, though part of the top of the truck was exposed.
The State Patrol was on scene of the truck crash Wednesday, but injuries were not reported and an agency spokeswoman did not immediately have additional details. The scene was in the 2100 block of Lake Washington Boulevard East.
This is the same bridge that was hit in April 2008 by a charter bus carrying the Garfield High School softball team. In that case, which didn't have serious injuries, the driver was following a GPS that didn't note that the bridge had a marked 9-foot clearance.
