SEATTLE — Former University of Washington quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo has been hired as the football team’s quarterbacks coach, said officials with the athletic department.
In a release, Coach Steve Sarkisian made the official announcement Saturday.
"Marques is a Husky football legend," Sarkisian said. "And we're excited to welcome him back home to Washington.”
Tuiasosopo was the Huskies 2001 Rose Bowl MVP, and played in the NFL for eight seasons.
Coach Eric Kiesau has had his role as offensive coordinate and quarterbacks coach shifted to offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.
