WASHINGTON — Washington State Ferry Walla Walla's generator broke down on Friday morning.
Crews are diagnosing the problem, but the Walla Walla was out of service for hours. It was ready for sailing again at 5:30 p.m.
The Kingston-Edmonds route was down to one ferry in the afternoon with the wait-time of three hours from Edmonds to Kingston.
Meanwhile, State Ferries is adding troopers and Coast Guard personnel to ride on ferries after Friday night's preseason Seahawks game.
