BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. — One woman died in a house fire in Bainbridge Island on Friday night, according to fire officials.
According to officials, a married couple in their 80’s was asleep in their home when a fire started -- just before 1:00 in the morning.
The husband was able to escape after hearing the alarm and finding the fire.
His wife was unable to get out of the home, and firefighters found her dead inside of the home.
The cause of the fire was under investigation on Saturday morning.
