Seattle, Wash. — KIRO 7 obtained exclusive video of a woman who went on a window and door smashing rampage in the International District.
In surveillance video shot from a sushi restaurant on Main Street between 5th and 6th, you see a woman break more than a dozen glass windows and doors. She uses a decorative totem pole she knocked over to break her way into the sushi restaurant. Then she uses parts of the totem pole to smash windows and doors of two other businesses.
Police arrived to find thousands of dollars in damage and the woman sitting on the ground. She refused to identify herself and was arrested for malicious mischief, according to a police report.
The reports also indicated that police had made contact with the woman before the rampage, but did not give details about that contact.
There is a large apartment complex above the businesses where the damage was. Many were elderly and too shaken up by the whole thing to talk.
