YAKIMA, Wash. — Firefighters battled an early-morning tire shop fire in Yakima on Tuesday.
According to Yakima police, the Yakima Fire Department responded to a “large structure fire” around 6:30 a.m. at a tire storage building on South 1st Street.
Traffic was blocked on South 1st Street north from Washington Avenue and south from Mead Avenue while crews worked on knocking down the fire.
Drivers were asked to find alternate traffic routes for their morning commutes.
