ISSAQUAH, Wash. — Issaquah-based Costco, the No. 4 retailer in the U.S. according to the National Retail Federation, is now accepting payments through the Apple Pay smartphone app.
USA Today reports if you use a credit card for purchases through the app, it has to be a Visa because of an in-store exclusive deal between Costco, Citigroup and Visa.
The same condition applies if Costco customers want to use other mobile payment options Samsung Pay and Google Pay.
Costco is now reportedly working to make mobile payments available at its gas stations.
Costco has more than 500 locations in the United States and 750 stores worldwide.
