Business ready to make NFC Champions gear if Seahawks win

A Seahawks win would mean big bucks for local silk screening companies. They've brought in extra staff and are ready to make NFC champions gear immediately if the Seahawks beat the 49ers.

SEATTLE — "As soon as we get out of the stadium we'll be shopping for that stuff," Seahawks fan Mike Paladino said. "We came all the way from New York for this!"

That's where Sergio Dias at The Silk Screen Company comes in.

He'll be printing off thousands of conference champions t-shirts for Fred Meyer in a multi-color design if the Hawks can win.

"We'll wait until the game is over, and then we'll turn the presses on and start printing," Dias said.

The T-shirts show Richard Sherman, Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch along the top row, and Earl Thomas, Golden Tate and Max Unger along the bottom row.

He'll use ten different colors from his giant paint collection.

Dias plans to have sets of employees rotate through six-hour shifts.

"We should be getting around 7,000 items so it should be exciting, fun," Bobby Bertsch at the fan store OnTheField.com. If the Hawks win, they'll have crews in bright and early on Monday to pick up gear like T-shirts from other companies in the area.

"Everyone's going to want one," Bertsch said.

Bertsch said if the Hawks head to the Super Bowl, the new gear will be as tough to keep in stock as a Russell Wilson jersey.
