SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle Mariners announced Wednesday that Ichiro’s Hall of Fame Weekend will take place this summer at T-Mobile Park.

Ichiro’s number, 51, will be retired in a special pregame ceremony on Saturday, August 9.

Ichiro’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on July 27 at Cooperstown

“We can’t wait to honor Ichiro’s historic accomplishment with a full week of events and giveaways at the ballpark this summer,” said Mariners Vice President of Marketing and Fan Engagement Mandy Sundblad in a news release. “Ichiro is an iconic figure for baseball fans across the world, and it’s going to be a blast bringing the celebration home to our fans with a week of festivities at T-Mobile Park.”
