SEATTLE — The Seattle Sounders FC have announced vaccination-only sections at Lumen Field beginning May 23 for their home game against Atlanta United.

The new sections include the Emerald City Supporters section in the south end of Lumen Field and sections 304-309 in the east 300 level and they will all be sold at 100 percent capacity.

Fans in these sections will still be required to wear masks and must provide documentation of their vaccination.

Eligible fans for these sections must be at least 16 years of age and show valid documentation that it has been a minimum of two weeks since they received their second Moderna or Pfizer shot or two weeks since they received the Johnson & Johnson shot.

Fans that are between the ages of 2 and less than 16 must show proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of kickoff using a PCR test or within 24 hours of kickoff using a rapid test.

Fans should be made aware there is no on site testing available.

The Emerald City Supporters sections are only for those that are 16 years and older who are fully vaccinated.

In a partnership with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and the city of Seattle, the Sounders FC will continue to offer first-time vaccinations to all eligible fans during May home games, including this Sunday’s match against LAFC.

The Sounders FC have recently announced that all players and staff have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
