SEATTLE — As Washington state nears the June 30 transition to reopen the state, the Seattle Sounders FC announced plans on Wednesday to increase the capacity of Lumen Field.

In a planned phased approach, the team is welcoming all fully-vaccinated Season Ticket holders to the next three home games and they plan on filling the lower bowl to capacity.

Fully reopening without requirements for home matches is tentatively scheduled to start July 25.

The next three home games, scheduled June 23, June 26 and July 7 will allow the Sounders an opportunity to adjust plans based on recommendations from the Washington State Department of Health before the next home game on July 25.

Season ticket holders that are not fully vaccinated can opt in to be relocated to physically distanced sections in the upper bowl or they can return their tickets for credit.

When Washington state fully opens, no proof of vaccination will be required to attend games at Lumen Field.
