Richard Sherman takes plea deal, will not serve time

Former Seattle Seahawks player Richard Sherman was sentenced to time served on Monday after pleading guilty to several incidents that occurred on July 14, 2021.

Police say Sherman crashed his car in an active highway construction site, left the scene of the accident, tried to break down the door of his in-laws and fought with police when they tried to arrest him.

Sherman pleaded guilty to charges of negligent driving in the first degree, speeding in a roadway construction zone and criminal trespass in the second degree.

Sherman was given credit for time served and fined $1.325 for speeding in the construction zone and other fees.

Sherman will also be under monitored supervision for 24 months.
