Brandon Tanev out for Seattle Kraken season

SEATTLE — Forward Brandon Tanev will be out for the remainder of the Seattle Kraken season, according to a tweet from the Kraken.

Tanev suffered a season-ending ACL injury during the Dec. 18 match at Climate Pledge Arena against the Edmonton Oilers.

According to NHL.com, the injury came on after a hit by Edmonton defenseman William Lagesson during the third period of the game.

The injury will require surgery and an extended recovery period.

Tanev has scored nine goals with six assists in 30 games this season.
