Eberle scores overtime goal, Kraken beat Avalanche 3-2 in game 4

SEATTLE — The Seattle Kraken won game 4 of their first-round matchup with the Colorado Avalanche in overtime on Monday night by a score of 3-2.

The Kraken jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period with a goal by Will Borgen, followed by a power-play goal by Daniel Sprong.

Colorado got on the board 14 minutes into the second period with a goal from right winger Mikko Rantanen, assisted by Evan Rodrigues and Nathan MacKinnon, cutting the Kraken’s lead to 2-1.

A second goal by Rantanen tied the game 19 minutes into the second period.

After a scoreless third period, the game went into overtime where Kraken right winger Jordan Eberle scored a goal three minutes in to win the game.

Now tied at two games apiece, the series shifts back to Denver for game 5 on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
