Seattle Sea Dragons end inaugural season after elimination from playoffs

The Seattle Sea Dragon’s inaugural XFL season came to an end Sunday after their 37-21 loss to the D.C. Defenders for the North Division Championship.

Although Seattle scored first, they gave up 37 points, the highest point total Seattle has allowed this season.

Seattle also managed a season-high 13 penalties, for a total of 116 penalized yards.

Seattle QB Ben DiNucci threw for 295 yards with three touchdowns. Rushing was stagnant, as the Sea Dragons only managed 13 yards.

The Sea Dragons faced the Defenders twice during the regular season, losing in both outings.

The Defenders will now go on to play the Arlington Renegades for the XFL Championship on Sat, May 13.
