Car, shed torched in Burien in possible hate crime

BURIEN, Wash. — Police are investigating an arson in Burien as a hate crime after a car and shed were set on fire and and anti-Semitic graffiti was sprayed nearby.

Police were called to a home in the 12400 block of 20th Avenue South at 4:30 a.m. Thursday for a report of an explosion.

When officers arrived, the fire department was already at the scene working to put out a burning car and shed.

Anti-Semitic graffiti was sprayed on the shed and the home's front door.

Officers said the incident will be investigated as a possible hate crime.

King County fire investigators determined the fires were arson.

No one was hurt.
